-Where and which mountain passes are blocked?
-Currently Tsagaan Davaa in Arkhangai Aimag and Davstai Davaa in Zavkhan Aimag that were blocked by snow have now been opened.
The State Emergency Commission is now focusing on operating local transport without any obstacles in over 49 mountain passes and local roads in the countryside. If there are roads and mountain passes blocked by snow we should keep them open two or three times a day. The General Staff of the Armed Forces are giving us their support by helping to open the roads and passes while military units in Uvurkhangai, Bayankhongor and Zavkhan help to deliver fodder from the State reserves to herders.
-Are there any areas where levels have reached disaster status?
-Since November most areas in the countryside have been hit by sudden snow fall and snowfall has reached 30-40 cm depth in Khyrgas and Malchin Sums in Uvs Aimag. Snow has even reached a depth of 80 cm in some places. But there is no disaster apparent yet.
-Reports say there are fuel shortages in some remote Sums?
