MIAT Mongolian Airlines is able to provide the Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service for minors aged between 5 to 12 years old, who travel alone without a guardian and for age between 12 to 16 years old by their parent or guardian request. But Mongolian Airlines noted that children under 5 years are not allowed to travel alone under any circumstances.

The UM service will be provided when flying on MIAT Mongolian Airlines operating flight only and not available for transit/onward flights. To request this service the MIAT Mongolian Airlines reservation or call center should be contacted at least 24 hours prior to departure time and confirmation of your application received before continuing.

MIAT Mongolian Airlines staff will assist unaccompanied minors upon arrival, until the minor meets their designated guardian.

Upon departure and arrival, children have to be accompanied by an adult. If the designated adult fails to show up upon arrival the minor will be returned to the original departure city. The sending guardian is responsible for the extra travel costs.
