Inner Mongolia, an autonomous region of China has reached a decision to reply in 30 days to a foreigner`s application for a residence permit in the region.  The measure will come into action in the autonomous region from 20th October.  A foreigner who previously applied for a residence permit in Inner Mongolia would have waited six months for a reply. The Inner Mongolian Security Council announced that the decision was made to encourage the flow of highly qualified foreign personnel to the region, in order to support social and economic growth.
