Ex-president, the chief of MPRP N.Enkhbayar was recently sentenced to a four year jail term but he is currently admitted in a hospital for an unknown health condition. His was found guilty by the primary court and the decision was appealed.  The appeal court reaffirmed the sentence and the former president has said that he will appeal again to Supreme Court.

The Anti-Corruption Authority (ACA) is currently investigating former MP Ts. Batbayar, former Chairman of Ulaanbaatar”s City Citizens” Representative Council T.Bilegt, and former Minister for Education, Culture and Science N.Bolormaa who is believed to be involve in N.Enkhbayar`s corruption case.

Senior commissary and chairman of the Investigation Department of the ACAE.Amarbat said that “some of the cases relating to those people have nothing to do with N.Enkhbayar`s case.  Some suspects are absent making the investigation process slowed but we are continuing the investigation.”The reason behind the case slowing is one of the suspects, former Chairman of Ulaanbaatar”s City Citizens” Representative Council,T.Bilegt escaped to the US.  Now he is wanted by Interpol as N.Enkhbayar`s sister N.Enkhtuya, and Deputy Minister for Nature, Environment and Green Development, B.Tulga`s brother B.Huyag.

N.Enkhbayar`s sister is being investigated because of a company called Escon.  The court confirmed that N.Enkhbayar transferred his own company, Escon, into his sister`s name in order to hide his properties.

Who is N.Enkhtuya?

N.Enkhtuya has lived in US and Singapore since 2004 but she has been to Mongolia a few times.

She was born on February 29th, 1960 in Ulaanbaatar.  She is fluent in English, Russian, and Mongolian and she was working as an exclusive authority to process applications for ships registering under the Mongolian flag in Singapore. She is also suspected of loading illegal goods onto ships under the Mongolian flag and selling the Mongolian flag illegally.  It is also said that she is a boss of Blue Sky Tower.  The ACA and the General Intelligence Agency are investigating her 27 million MNT investment into that building.
