Russian and Mongolian special task forces were focused on joint
counter-terrorism measures, blocking and destroying imaginary illegal armed
groups trying to break through the Russian border into Mongolia.

The two countries’ servicemen for the first time employed attack
aircraft during the drills. They also honed the tactic of evacuating civilians
from a militant-infested area.
