President of Mongolbank L.Purevdorj has presented his
resignation letter to the Speaker of the parliament Zandaakhuu Enkhbold last
Monday.
Standing committee on Economy yesterday discussed
L.Purevdorj’s letter and decided to replace him. By the law the Speaker should suggest
nomination of new President and plenary session of the parliament should
approved.
Zandaakhuu Enkhbold, Speaker suggested N.Zoljargal, Vice
President of the Mongolbank as new President.
Answering the question addressed to him N.Zoljargal said “there
is opened a possibility to reduce bank interest rate to the one digit”. “Impossible
to decrease inflation rate while bank’s interest rate so high” said N.Zoljargal.
Mongolbank’s President nomination should be discussed by the
plenary session of the parliament. But today’s (September 13, 2012) session
postponed.
