Members of Anti-Corruption Group in the
Parliament gave information about the open hearing which will be held on 12^th
of May organized by Standing Committee on Legislation. The information was given
by head of the standing committee B.Bat-Erdene, MPs Kh.Temuujin and
J.Sukhbaatar.

A working group was established to give
information about financial reports of authorities, responsibility issues and
the situation of corruption law implementation. J.Sukhbaatar is leading the
working group. There is also a separate working group led by MP Kh.Jekei to
make amendments in the form of financial report of the officials. According to
Kh.Temuujin, the open hearing will concentrate on three subjects: method of making
the financial report; what violations and defects come out; and responsibility of
those who did not give the financial report. Certain officials will give
information on this matter during the hearing. The open hearing will be
organized every year, during the spring session of the Parliament. And during
the autumn session, the actions and measures to improve corruption fighting
would be discussed.

MP J.Sukhbaatar said the corruption index of
Mongolia is getting worse.

“We are living in a society of corruption.
Thus we need to reduce the environment where corruption grows ourselves” he
said. B.Bat-Erdene said 98-99 percent of authorities give their financial
report now, after the Anti-Corruption Authority started taking it.

Amazingly, after the press conference, Minister
for Internal Affairs Ts.Nyamdorj called MP J.Sukhbaatar to his room and gave
him a fist of wisdom to his face, blaming him for becoming a bodyguard of Kh.Temuujin.
According to some sources he told the MP that human rights are not talked by
the likes of you and you are not the one to make supervision on the minister.
He also suffocated the MP with his tie. After a while, J.Sukhbaatar left his
room with red hand marks on his neck and was not wearing his member sign.
