Total 136,637 students of 84 institutes and universities of the state are taking their stipends of January from February 20.

The state budget has allocated MNT9.6 billion to students’ stipend in 2012 and 14,000 students have taken their stipends of MNT70,000 so far. Students of University of Science and Technology take stipends through Golomt Bank and Ulaanbaatar City Bank because the university cooperates with the banks.

Institutes and universities send the students’ names to the State Teaching Foundation and the foundation send students’ names to Labor Welfare Department, after checking.

Students of University of Science and Technology could book bank cards through websites and students could also be involved to bonus program. If students would study with good marks, bonus amounts would be added to their accounts.
