
He stated that many residents of ger districts wish to live in apartments, and if their wishes were fulfilled, the state would benefit greatly. Many young people receive low salaries. They would work more efficiently if an organization could help them purchase a comfortable apartment. This would improve their productivity to the benefit of the country’s development.
E.Bat-Uul said many citizens don’t even understand how mortgages work, because they are relatively new in Mongolia.
He said that Prime Minister S.Batbold has promised to reduce unemployment and poverty and to educate the people. But building comfortable homes in ger districts and urbanizing the countryside would also benefit the country. It would create a booming real estate market that would positively impact other sectors. Demand for consumer goods would increase and poverty and unemployment would be reduced.
Mongolians living abroad would return home, if businesses were developed and housing improved. Citizens with home loans would learn responsibility. Air pollution would be reduced, bribery to find an apartment would be eliminated, and there would be political stability, he said.
