
Prime Minister S.Batbold opened the exhibit with a speech, and children from the Children’s Palace gave a performance.
Ts.Nyam-Osor, the head of the Small and Medium Production Office, said about 600 businesses were interested in taking part in the exhibit, but space was not sufficient to allow them all to participate.
He noted that 100 factories using the latest techniques and technologies were built with Government support of MNT 260 billion in Mongolia from 2009 to 2011. The factories are displaying their products at the exhibit.
Ts.Nyam-Osor also said the recent conference for small- and medium-sized producers issued 20 recommendations. Businesses attending the conference said they need legislative and economic support, management training programs, sales and distribution assistance, and favorable market conditions. He emphasized that the basis of economic development is small- and medium-sized enterprises.
