
The prime minister said the “People’s Development” program is based on the party’s two-year-long “To Hear the People” campaign, which solicited input from citizens in all nine districts of Ulaanbaatar and 280 soums in the 21 aimags. He said scholars and researchers also contributed to the development of the program, as did international organizations.
S.Batbold noted that the “People’s Development” program focuses on social and economic development over the next 20 years. He said per capita GDP will increase as the economy grows through the development of mining, infrastructure, and industry. He said that the MPP could implement the program after winning the 2012 parliamentary election.
