Delegates attending the third MPP conference discussed the party’s “People’s Development” program at the MPP’s Independence Palace headquarters on Thursday.

Delegates noted that health care reform is needed because the country’s population is growing. Diagnostic centers and large hospitals that meet international standards should be built in the first phase of reform, which would also reduce the flow of foreign currency to other countries. The state should support the training of doctors and specialists in developed countries. Delegates also said the health insurance system should be changed, because citizens who pay the monthly health insurance fee can not use the insurance to pay for diagnostics and treatment.

MPP MPs explained that a new health care policy is being implemented, including the improvement of hospitals and the training of doctors and specialists by foreign doctors. The policy will be implemented through 2031.

Also at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister M.Enkhbold said a refinery scheduled to be completed by 2016 will supply enough petroleum to meet the domestic demand. He also said building materials will be produced domestically. That is why all members should work to implement all provisions of the “People’s Development” program, he noted.
Delegates also discussed meat prices, pension and salary increases, and the MNT 1 million allowance.
