
Representatives of some 4,800 businesses are expected to take part in the main event at the Tengis Cinema. They will discuss the current state of small- and medium-sized businesses in Mongolia, state policies, and measures that the Government needs to take.
There will also be 30 branch meetings held in aimags and districts, and internet discussions will be held for people who can not participate in person.
A “Made in Mongolia” fair will be held in the Misheel Expo beginning February 9, with 165 businesses taking part. Companies will display their products. Buses will run between the Tengis Cinema and the Expo.
A ministry official says there are a total of 5,000 small- and medium-sized enterprises in the country, and the Government’s loan policy supports them. Interest rates have been reduced from 12 percent to seven percent.
