Prime Minister and MPP Chairman S.Batbold opened the party’s conference at Independence Palace on Thursday.

More than 200 delegates are taking part in the conference, including Speaker D.Demberel, former president N.Bagabandi, the MPP caucus at Parliament, and aimag governors who are MPP members.

S.Batbold read a report about the party’s “People’s Development” program. According to his report, the program will increase the average salary of state officials to MNT 1.3 million from 2012 to 2016 and to MNT 2.5 million from 2016 to 2021. Also, temporary apartments for young people will be built as part of the “100,000 Apartments” program. S.Batbold also said the party plans for the Government to give free apartments to households with four or more children from 2016 to 2021.

Delegates will elect four members of the MPP conference. Candidates are Health Minister N.Khurelbaatar, Nature, Environment and Tourism Minister D.Tsogtbaatar, Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Deputy Minister P.Bayanmunkh, and Road, Transportation and Urban Development Deputy Minister B.Tsengel.
