Parliament on Friday was to discuss ministerial appointments.

A previous proposal nominated MP J.Enkhbayar for defense minister; MP D.Khayankhyarvaa for finance minister; MP Ts.Dashdorj for road, transportation and urban development minister; Secretary State of the Health Ministry N.Khurelbaatar for health minister; and former Secretary State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade D.Tsogtbaatar for nature, environment and tourism minister.

But the post of first deputy prime minister could be eliminated and the DP caucus believes ministerial appointments should be discussed after a decision is reached on eliminating the post of first deputy prime minister. Prime Minister S.Batbold submitted a proposal to eliminate that post on Thursday.
