Acting on the suggestion of Prime Minister S.Batbold, the Standing Committee on State Structure on Thursday approved the elimination of the post of first deputy prime minister. The matter now goes to Parliament.

Some MPs, including S.Lambaa, asked that the cabinet discuss the issue before the standing committees talk about it. But the head of the committee said Parliament could discuss the issue in accordance with laws.

The Premier has proposed transferring the duties of the first deputy prime minister to other ministers, namely the deputy prime minister and the justice and internal affairs minister.
