
Jack Weatherford, a professor of anthropology at Macalester College in the U.S., is the author of “Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World,” which was a New York Times bestseller in 2004. He is also the author of “The Mongol Queens.”
The Jack Weatherford Foundation is selecting the winner of the prize with the help of Mongol studies scholars.
The U.S. ambassador to Mongolia, Jonathan Addleton, has written a book to commemorate the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations. “A Most Helpful Factor: U.S.-Mongolia Diplomatic Relations, 1987-2012” will be published by the Jack Weatherford Foundation.
