On January 20, Parliament formally dismissed the six DP ministers who had tendered their resignations upon the DP’s withdrawal from the coalition government.

First Deputy Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag was dismissed by a vote of 36 out of 42 MPs; Finance Minister S.Bayartsogt by a vote of 39 out of 44 MPs; Nature, Environment and Tourism Minister L.Gansukh by a vote of 34 out of 43 MPs; Defense Minister L.Bold by a vote of 37 out of 41 MPs; Road, Transportation and Urban Development Minister Kh.Battulga by a vote of 35 out of 42 MPs; and Health Minister S.Lambaa by a vote of 38 out of 44 MPs.

Prime Minister S.Batbold thanked the ministers for their cooperation. He also stated that the coalition government implemented many programs marked by both successes and failures, and he expressed his hope that the outgoing ministers would continue to support the government’s policies and programs, even though they are leaving the government.
