The Finance Ministerial Council headed by minister S.Bayartsogt met on Wednesday and there were several issues on the agenda.

The council decided to replace the “Five 20” program with the Customs General Office’s “Green Custom” program. The council appealed to political parties to focus on the “Five 20” program issues in their platforms.

The council also decided to send to First Deputy Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s proposal for amending the law on standardization and estimation. The Chamber has proposed exempting some goods from the law.

The council also approved a proposal for developing tourism and forwarded it to the Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism for incorporation in the master plan for tourism development.

The council also discussed improving state service and professional unions, and the participation of NGOs in the decision-making process.
