
China is giving Mongolia’s Border Protection Army nearly USD 1 million. The agreement was signed by Mongolia’s chargй d’affaires to China, Ts.Batbayar, and the deputy head of the Chinese Defense Ministry’s Foreign Affairs Board, Major General Guan Youfei, in Beijing on December 30. The money will be granted in installments of two million Yuan (USD 317,405) and four million Yuan (USD 634,810).
The financial assistance is being rendered from China’s People’s Liberation Army.
Ts.Batbayar said the two nations cooperate in the defense sector, and the opening of the Mongolia-China peacekeeping center in 2011 was one of the biggest achievements of their bilateral cooperation. He said the two sides achieved many significant achievements in 2011.
