At the Government meeting on Wednesday, the cabinet decided to give gers to 22 households in Dornod aimag whose apartment building was damaged by fire on December 28, 2011. The gers will come from the state reserve. Total cost is MNT 52 million, including transportation.

State Emergency Commission (SEC) Secretary M.Enkh-Amgalan told our correspondent that the Emergency Commission of Dornod aimag requested assistance for the families left homeless by the fire.

M.Enkh-Amgalan said that the preliminary conclusion of fire investigators is that the cause of the fire was faulty electrical wiring. No one was killed in the fire, but one person was hospitalized for smoke inhalation.
