Prime Minister S.Batbold is touring Khentii aimag. He says he wants to assess local settlements and meet with citizens, because the Government has made it a goal to support low-income households in 2012.

He paid a visit to the Professional Training Center in Undurkhaan city. About 900 students trained in 15 professions have graduated from the center, and 72 percent of them have been employed, according to the center’s managing officials. The establishment of the training center was suggested by the Premier, and young people from eastern aimags attend it. Also, the Oyutolgoi mining project has asked the center to train specialists. Center officials say the facility meets the highest modern standards.

S.Batbold also met with representatives of local residents of Undurkhaan city, and he emphasized the Government’s support for small- and medium-sized businesses in the framework if its support for low-income households.

About 20,000 new jobs were created in Khentii aimag in 2011, and MNT 2 billion has been spent to support small businesses, according to aimag officials.
