To commemorate the centennial of Mongolia’s independence, President Ts.Elbegdorj has conferred state honors on Mongolian citizens who have achieved great success in their fields.

J.Lkhagvajav of the Mongolian Paralympics Field and Track Federation and marathoner B.Ser-Od have been named Honored Athletes.

Ser-Od earned a spot in the 2012 London Olympics when he won the Hofu Yomiuri Marathon in Japan on December 18.

J.Lkhagvajav, a runner, was honored for his many sporting achievements, including winning medals in world championships.
