Members of the Democratic Party’s National Consultative Committee celebrated New Year’s over the weekend.

All 228 members of the committee and 27 DP MPs attended the party, and there was no alcohol on any of the tables. The party has begun its “Mongolians without Alcohol” program and has endorsed the President’s appeal to celebrate the New Year without alcohol.

A special DP flag was auctioned off at the party. The flag, which traveled to all 21 aimags as part of the party’s “Mongol Citizen 2020” forum, sold for MNT 18 million. The opening price was MNT 2020. The flag was won by a member of the National Consultative Committee from Songinokhairkhan district, U.Purevbaatar.

Members also chose a “super lucky person” to win MNT 1.2 million. The winner was D.Altankhuyag, a member of the National Consultative Committee from Chingeltei district.
