Secretary State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade D.Tsogtbaatar met with his German counterpart Harald Brown on December 20 in Berlin.

The officials signed an economic and strategic partnership agreement and discussed bilateral relations. They also exchanged opinions on increasing economic relations. The officials said 2011 was a significant year for relations between the two nations, which have established the foundation of an intensive long-term partnership.

The officials also discussed the implementation of measures that were discussed during German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s official visit of to Mongolia. The first measure to be implemented is an intergovernmental agreement of cooperation in the mining, industrial, and technology sectors.

The officials also exchanged information about preparations for the official visit of the President of Mongolia to Germany in 2012.
