The Democratic Youth Union (DYU) of Khovd aimag has endorsed the president’s appeal to observe the New Year without alcohol.

The union is organizing a campaign called “For Khovd without Alcohol – Youth” from December 15, 2011 to May 15, 2012. It has sent its appeal to state and private sector organizations. Some have already agreed to cooperate with the union’s campaign.

The campaign began on December 15 to observe the first New Year’s party without alcohol in Khovd city. Several noted singers and performers of the Music Drama Theater of Khovd aimag were invited to the party.
