Confederation of Trade Unions President S.Ganbaatar told journalists on Wednesday that health care workers have joined the teachers’ strike, and police and employees of arts and cultural organizations may join as well.

Representatives of health care workers, police, and arts and cultural organizations sent a note to high-ranking state officials on Wednesday.

The note says the salaries and pensions of workers in those sectors should be increased beginning on January 1, 2012. If the state does not agree to their demand, the note says, the workers in those sectors will also go on strike.
