While attending the fourth annual forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations in Doha, President Ts.Elbegdorj met with Austrian President Heinz Fischer.

The two presidents exchanged opinions on bilateral relations. Ts.Elbegdorj thanked Austria for supporting Mongolia’s efforts to strengthen democracy. He also said Heinz Fischer is always welcome to visit and expressed his belief that high-level visits would significantly help develop mutual relations.

Heinz Fischer said he would like to visit Mongolia. The two presidents also talked about the issue of democratic education, which will be taken up at a high-level meeting of the Community of Democracies to be organized by Austria. Both men also expressed their hopes that a loan from Austria to improve Mongolia’s infrastructure and health sector will prove to be mutually beneficial.

The presidents also discussed their nations’ relations and collaboration, international and regional issues, and other issues.
