Mongolia and Kuwait made an agreement of economic and technological cooperation in 1995, an investment agreement in 1998, and a trade agreement in 2007.
Ts.Elbegdorj and A.Buresli discussed ways to widen trade between their two nations, which now stands at just USD 625,000 annually. The president noted that Kuwait has the meat processing technology to establish sheep farms in Mongolia, which would be beneficial to both countries.
A.Brusli supported the president’s suggestion and added that Mongolia and Kuwait could also cooperate in the tourism sector.
The officials also discussed the possibility of starting direct air service between Ulaanbaatar and Kuwait, and organizing a meeting of investors. They also talked about renewing some provisions of the 2007 trade agreement.
