On Thursday, Prime Minister S.Batbold received outgoing French ambassador Jean-Paul Dumont. The premier said that he appreciates the significant contribution that Dumont made to developing bilateral relations and cooperation, and he added that Dumont has become a best friend to Mongolians.

Mentioning that Mongolia-France ties have been successfully developing on the political level, S.Batbold said that the two countries have a big opportunity to mutually support investment and expand economic collaboration.

The prime minister and ambassador also expressed satisfaction with the successful implementation of some projects and programs. For example, the French have decided to give EUR 5 million to renovate the National Center of Trauma and Rehabilitation, and have paid to restore the old Mongolian film “Tsogt Taij.”

Dumont expressed his satisfaction in cooperating with Mongolia, and promised to do his best to widen bilateral relations and cooperation even after he leaves his post.
