Members also heard of a delay in animal inoculations in September and October. Head of Regulatory Office of Animal Husbandry Policy of the Ministry P.Gankhuyag told journalists that herders opposed the injection because they thought it would have a negative influence on their animals. But veterinarians denied that. A total of 40 million animals will be injected in the spring, and the state budget will allocate MNT 2.4 billion for the injections. The injections are part of the Tavan Erdene program, which aims to keep livestock healthy in order to increase exports.
