
Erdenet says the museum will display the factory’s 33 years of development and technological progress, and show historical facts about the factory. Workers who graduated from Donetsk National University initiated the effort to build the museum, and all architectural drawings are ready.
Erdenet Director General Ch.Ganzorig said the museum will also show the history of Erdenet city and the mining sector. The museum will show mining techniques, and some facilities will be shown in actual size.
Erdenet is implementing a long-term plan to update its technology by 2020. The factory generated MNT 560 billion for the state budget in 2010 and processed 26.1 million tons of ore.
