In connection with this year’s centennial of the founding of Mongolia’s diplomatic service, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is working to establish diplomatic relations with United Nations member countries that Mongolia does not yet have diplomatic relations with.

In that regard, Mongolia formally established diplomatic relations with the Principality of Andorra in New York on November 21.

UN permanent representative from Mongolia O.Enkhtsetseg and UN permanent representative from Andorra Narsis Kasal de Fonsdeviela signed a joint official note of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

The two sides have agreed to be guided by the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations, UN rules, and international law in managing the development of their cooperation in politics, economics, humanitarian efforts, and other spheres.

Mongolia now has diplomatic relations with 155 UN member nations, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
