
An International Security Forum was held in the Canadian city of Halifax, Nova Scotia, from November 18 to 20.
Defense ministers, representatives of security organizations, and experts from 40 countries took part in the forum, where 300 delegates discussed various international security issues.
Canadian Defense Minister Peter MacKay opened the form, and the American Secretary of Defense, Leon Panetta, also gave a speech.
Discussions at the forum covered a wide range of topics, including changes in the security environment since 9/11, the future of the transatlantic alliance, the Americas, post-revolution dynamics in the Middle East and North Africa in the wake of the Arab Spring, and China.
Defense Minister L.Bold took part in the forum. He met with Peter MacKay and Israeli Defense Minister Mahmud Barak, and discussed widening military cooperation and strengthening mutual understanding.
