Recently the party held forums in Khishig-Undur, Khutag-Undur, and Teshig soums of Bulgan aimag. DP officials heard the opinions of soum residents and herders, and discussed ways to solve some dilemmas. Soum residents complained that many services in soum centers are insufficient, including hot water, showers, baths, hairdressers, seamstresses, and shoemakers.
Herders said if interest rates aren’t reduced, there will be problems with animal husbandry and agriculture. They also complained that pasture land is being damaged by people dumping garbage on it.
Citizens also decried the large number of people who drink in soum centers. They said the Government should make policies that improve the lives of countryside residents and generate jobs.
At the end of the forum, participants said they hoped the implementation of the suggestions made at the forum would prove beneficial.
