Prime Minister S.Batbold received a Russian delegation headed by Russia’s First Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, A.I.Denisov, on Monday.

Russian delegates are visiting Mongolia in observance of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

S.Batbold noted that the delegates’ visit also coincides with the centennial of the establishment of Mongolia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the 150th anniversary of the establishment of a Russian consulate in Mongolia. He added that Mongolia places great importance on its historical and strategic relations with Russia.
The prime minister said Mongolia is paying special attention to a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization taking place in Saint Petersburg, and said Mongolia is interested in taking part in the organization.

In his turn, A.I.Denisov thanked the prime minister for receiving the delegation and passed along a message of congratulations from Russian Prime Minister V.Putin. He stated his support for economic cooperation, and noted that Russia places high importance on its relations with Mongolia.
