The DP caucus met on Monday and rejected an MPP proposal on the election structure. DP caucus chairman Ch.Saikhanbileg said the DP is holding to its position that electoral districts should be based on population. The DP caucus also discussed an MPP suggestion that electoral districts be divided, and decided that the number of electoral districts should not exceed the current number of MPs.

The DP caucus decided to establish a working group headed by D.Gankhuyag to prepare a 2012 budget proposal. The members also discussed proposed changes in the Social Insurance Fund and the Human Development Fund. A working group headed by Ya.Batsuuri will prepare a discussion for Parliament on monetary trends in 2012.

Members also discussed a draft law on health insurance and approved further discussion. The members approved a proposal to increase some pension. If that proposal is passed, it would eliminate the differences in pensions between people who retired before and after 1995.
