The Civil Chamber under the President and Education Television are jointly broadcasting a one-hour program called “I Am a Citizen” every week.

This week’s program discussed the complaints of residents of Airag soum in Dornogobi aimag, who say a mineral processing factory in the soum could be having a harmful effect on their health.

Earlier, 200 residents of the soum sent a complaint to the President’s Office, saying citizens of the soum have had their health damaged by the activity of the factory.

The issue of the factory’s health effects has not been conclusively determined yet.

That is why residents asked the Civil Chamber and Education Television to discuss the issue.
