
The prime minister noted the recently-appointed ambassador’s diplomatic experience and extensive knowledge of Mongolia, and pledged to support further cooperation between Mongolia and Japan.
S.Batbold said the two countries’ agreement of strategic partnership has opened a new chapter in mutual relations and collaboration. S.Batbold requested Japan’s cooperation in preparing a plan to implement the two countries’ strategic partnership.
Batbold also underlined that an economic partnership is essential for trade and economic cooperation. He added his hope that Shimizu Takenory would make that possible, saying Mongolia and Japan have great potential to cooperate in the dissemination of Japanese technology and value added products.
Ambassador Shimizu Takenory said he agreed with the prime minister’s opinions and he hoped negotiations on economic issues will be concluded soon.
