Representatives of trade unions in the Bayangol district held a press conference on Friday to register their complaints about the district’s governor, L.Amgalan.

Trade Unions of the Service Center and Transportation Companies of Bayangol say L.Amgalan has disbanded the district’s Garbage Service Foundation and that the 9th, 10th, 11th, 16th, and 20th khoroos have not had garbage service, and cleaners and inspectors have not paid.

By the governor’s order, some 10,000 households in the khoroos pay MNT 2,500 each for garbage and other services. But the unions say that money is not being spent to collect garbage.

The Bayangol unions have sent a note to Mayor G.Munkhbayar asking him to look into the activities of L.Amgalan and the head of the Bayangol Treasury Office, E.Dolgorsuren, and to the audit the budget of the district.

They said that if the mayor does not reply to the note by October 25, they will complain to the Anti Corruption Authority and State Prosecutors’ General Office.
