
N.Altankhuyag congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and noted that his experience working as the previous ambassador’s advisor and his extensive knowledge of Mongolia will accelerate the two nations’ cooperation and partnership.
Takenory Shimizu thanked N.Altankhuyag for receiving him and pledged to work with him to widen bilateral relations. The ambassador also asked N.Altankhuyag, who is head of a Tavantolgoi working group, about Japan’s bid to develop the mine.
N.Altankhuyag said the Japanese bid has been considered as part of a consortium with Russia and South Korea. He expressed his gratefulness to the ambassador for his contributions to bilateral cooperation.
