Twice champion of Mongolian kickboxing and karate D.Byambadorj won a title at the Shidokan Karate Strong Open tournament in Tokyo on October 10. He was also named best athlete.

He fought in two categories in the men’s 65-75 kg division. He won the championship in the full contact karate category and took second in the glove karate category. Byambadorj also won a black belt. In all, 36 athletes competed in the tournament.

By virtue of his strong showing in the tournament, Byambadorj will compete in a tournament of eight athletes in the USA in December.

Byambadorj previously won a karate championship in Japan, the Asian Championship and World Championship in 2004, and the Royal Cup of Muay Thai boxing in Thailand.
