The Government passed the 120th protocol to honor singers and musicians from Mongolia who have excelled at international festivals and competitions.

Education, Culture and Science Minister Yo.Otgonbayar handed out cash awards at the Music and Dance College last Thursday.

E.Amartuvshin, a singer with the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet and winner of a silver medal at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Russia, was awarded MNT 52 million.

Music and Dance College students B.Bat-Erdene, J.Ariunzaya, and U.Ankhzaya, winners of gold medals at the Magin International Piano Competition in France, were each awarded MNT 19 million. Four other students who won silver medals at the competition were each awarded MNT 14 million. And U.Tsovoo, a Talant Center student who won a bronze medal at the competition, was awarded MNT 9 million.

Music and Dance College student G.Chinguun, winner of a gold medal at the Kosian International Violin Competition in the Czech Republic, was awarded MNT 19 million.
