Ulaanbaatar Court has upheld the 11 year sentence handed down to a former wrestler convicted of dealing drugs.

The Bayanzurkh district court imposed the sentence on Ts.Ulaankhuu in August. Ulaankhuu had been found guilty of carrying, concealing, and purchasing mind-altering drugs with the intent to sell them.

Ulaankhuu appealed the sentence to Ulaanbaatar Court, which heard the case on Thursday and upheld the sentence. Ulaankhuu can appeal to the State Supreme Court within two weeks.
