Deputy Speaker N.Enkhbold received Thierry Mera, the head of the International Red Cross for Eastern Asian, on Tuesday. The officials discussed cooperation between the Mongolian Red Cross Society and the International Red Cross Committee.

Thierry Mera said the International Red Cross Committee would like to advance international laws on humanitarian relief and efforts to ban landmines worldwide.

The two discussed international relief efforts and legislation pertaining to humanitarian relief in Mongolia. They also discussed Mongolia’s role in a meeting of the International Red Cross to be held in Switzerland in November.
