2008 Olympic silver medalist and world champion P.Serdamba was defeated by South Korean boxer Shin Jun-Hun for the silver medal on October 7 at the 2011 AIBA World Boxing Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, on points 11:20.

He becomes the first Mongolian boxer who won two medals from the world boxing championship.
