The 8th day of the lunar new year is usually celebrated by people wearing a deel or some other item of traditional clothing. The Mongolians with Deel movement observed the day yesterday with monks of Gandantegchilen praying at the Tasganii ovoo  for Mongolian unity and success and for citizens’ prosperity. Members of the movement also sang traditional long songs. Many people wearing traditional clothing had gathered there.

The Natural History Museum allowed free entry to anybody in a deel. More than 500 of such people came in only 2-3 hours. People also had their pictures taken at Sukhbaatar Square.

The organizers promised to hold a similar celebration in July with shows and parades.
