Energy Resource LLC recently completed 245 km of new road between Ukhaa-Khudag and Gashuunsukhait, and the state commission has officially opened the road. Heavy trucks transporting coal can now travel on a paved road where before they went over dirt roads.

Officials say the new road will reduce dust, accidents, and breakdowns. The road’s capacity for annual coal transportation is 15 million tons.
