The One Democracy association and members and supporters of the DP will hold an open forum on the draft election law that Parliament will debate in the upcoming session. The forum will be held at the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday. The forum was announced on Wednesday at a press conference attended by MP Kh.Temuujin, President’s Advisor Ch.Sosormaa, and the Civil Representatives Assembly’s E.Tamir.

They said the draft law should be passed in accordance with the interests of the citizens and the nation. They said the forum will assist in organizing a fair and responsible election, and will address five basic issues: election structure; electoral districts; parliament seat allocation; election organization; and a quota for women in office. Organizers said that they will pay special attention to the opinions of young people on these issues.

After the forum, One Democracy will pass the opinions of participants to members of Parliament.
