The first item on the agenda at Wednesday’s regular meeting of the Cabinet is an explosive one. Really. The Cabinet will consider an amendment to the law that regulates the use of dynamite and other explosives. Previously, the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy monitored the importation and use of explosives, which are commonly used in mining operations. But that responsibility has now been shifted to the Ministry of Defense.
Other issues expected to be discussed include the 2012 budget, as well as the recent official visits to Mongolia by the president of South Korea and a high-ranking Chinese Communist Party official. Also on the agenda: diplomat relationships, the organizing committee, a project to develop high technology industries, and measures to ensure the security of information.
